Steven gently stroked the water's surface. The ripples traveled from the epicenter, reached the boundaries, and rebounded off the chilled stone.
'Free to run. But still bounded. Interesting...' He whispered quietly to himself. The words he spoke rarely did reach the ears of bystanders.

Keiyuki Saora leant against a trees, he watched a man stroke the surface of some water and smiled - not many had time for the smaller things like the appreciation of water these days. With a soft sigh he slid down the smooth, white trunk of the tree and closed his eyes. He loved having the spare time to sit and think - he never neglected the small things - he would always appreciate EVERY piece of matter that held the universe together... Even such things as the single blade of grass that was now tickling the palm of his right hand.
He lifted it and looked down at a bug that crawled below the grass canopy, dow at the dirt floor. Hmm... All the small things.

'Home time' Up he stood and dusted the dirt from his clothing. The ripples had continued to disrupt the reflection he had found in the shallow fountain pool. One last look, he then again delved into its imagery.
Discomforted, Steven had paused but then continued on his path. He walked to the outer parts of the village; closer to the temples.
'Stupid dreams,' Steven sighed with a small undefined smile and again, whispered his words.

(ooc: This is the dream that Steven referred to as he walked from the fountain.)
"It was as though he let it happen to him," the voice barely audible to Steven, from the next room. "He is a strong kid!"... "How could this have happened?"
"Shut up!" A mans voice this time, he roared with a load outburst.
"..." She opened her mouth but nothing came out. Silent. The woman stood up from her seat and poured herself a drink of coffee.
"We will find him! Until then.." Looking to the bloody rags that Steven had brought with him, he realised the amount of blood that Steven had lost and cringed. "We will help him recover."
In the room that Steven lied in he could hear the man and woman speak. He too could hear their gentle undertones.
"You are a fucking weak shit! Can't fight off one person! Now, look at yourself!" He had only imagined saying those words but he complied.
"It would be so much easier if his parent were still here." The woman said her part, but her fear of being roared at again was unconfirmed.
"If they were here then he wouldn't have been raped!" The man, this time, stood up and reached for the rags. He placed them a bin and went to bed.
The woman went to check on Steven. He slept as she pulled the sheets over him and said, "Sleep well."

Saora sighed and stared up through the branches of the tree. How he longed to remeber the feeling of company - but one could not miss what they could not feel or remember.
Heaving a sigh, he stood and walked to the fountain that had just become free of beings and looked down into the water - What he saw was not his reflection, but rather, a reflection of his reflection. A past memory or fleeting thought of what he once was, and it hurt. Turning away he walked to a near-by fence and perched himself upon it. His stupid decisions were always laughing in his face.
