Title: Hiccups
Series: Tsubasa Chronicle
Pairing: Fai/Sakura
Rating: G
Warnings: Light and fluffy (And we all hate light and fluffy!) +Angst
Summary: One night Sakura gets the hiccups - Fai tries to 'help'.
Sakura looked around the cafe - Syaoran was training with Kurogane and Fai was smiling with Mokona. Sakura's face broke out into a small smile - she looked back to the dish in her hand and started to dry it, unexpectantly letting out a small hiccup. Blinking she continued with what she was doing.
"Ne, Sakura-chan, you have the hiccups?" Fai laughed slightly - the young girl nodded with a small giggle; though interrupted with yet another hiccup. Sakura put down the plate she was holding, as another hiccup-jump racked her body.
"I'll never get anything -" she hiccuped, "Done like this." She heard Fai walk towards her, she looked at him curiously as he took a clean glass and ran some cool water before filling the glass. As he passed it to her she made a curious noise in the back of her throat.
"Just drink it, Sakura-chan." The blonde smiled as Sakura took a sip and another her eyes closing as she gulps it down. "There is no cure for hiccups Sakura-chan, but time and water help a bit... Though Sakura-chan - I know one more thing that can help." Fai was surprised he was even doing this - he had already promised himself he wouldn't do anything of the sort.
"A-Another, Fai-san?" She asked curious; though hiccupping slightly in the beginning. Fai smiled - she was always so quiet and polite to everyone; still he didn't know what she was really like - with her memories.
"Just close your eyes Sakura-chan." As her world darkened Fai leant down to her height, he felt as though he was about to commit a heinous crime, though the feeling of hope overwhelmed it and he closed his eyes and lightly pressed his lips against hers. He felt the princess gasp softly and he lifted a hand - resting it over her eyes - he didn't want her to see.
The bell above the door jingled and Fai reluctantly pulled away and started to head to the other side of the counter; Sakura fell out of her frozen stupor and took his hand.
"Wait..." She whispered softly, "Fai-san - why did -" Her question was cut short as he interrupted her.
"Are your hiccups gone; Sakura-chan?" Fai inquired with a smile - the younger girl blinked and laughed softly.
"Yes - they are Fai-san. Thankyou." She smiled up at him - her question temporarily forgotten. Suddenly Fai hiccupped...
To Be Continued... maybe.
