Nikki sat down in the train staring out the window. She was headed for boarding school and damn did she hate it already. She watched the unmoving scenery while everyone found their seats and sighed. She didn't want to leave.

Kirah stepped onto the train and looked around; it was practically full except for three seats near a light haired girl sat staring out one of the many windows. "Excuse me, but can I sit here?" She saw the girl nod; not even looking at her. She sat down and got out a book to read. Waiting, just as impatiently as Nikki was, for the train to start moving.

"Damn, what is up with this?" Nikki sighed and moved to put her feet in the seat in front of her - only to put them on someone's lap.
"Oh shit, sorry." Quickly pulling her feet down she looked at the girl sitting across from her. Nikki could feel her cheeks heating up from embarrassment.
"I'm Nikki Purcell." She introduced, holding out her hand.

"Kirah Matthews." After shaking the other girl's hand she leant back in her chair, "Are you not excited to be going to boarding school?" She inquired at seeing Nikki's glum face looking through the window.

Nikki turned, "Am I that obvious?"

Kirah smiled, "Even a blind person would have noticed." She took out a deck of cards, "Hey; until we get there how about a game of 21?"

Nikki laughed, "Alright. You can deal. No cheating though."

Kirah grinned, "Of course not; who do you take me for? You?" Dealing the cards she picked up one more and smirked at seeing Nikki's defeated sigh. "21." The dealer spoke putting down her cards.

Nikki laughed, "Hell, I knew I'd lose at this game."

Sera leaned back hard against the uncomfortable train seat, her long black hair falling down her body in tidy streams. Turning lazily to face the two girls across the walkway from her, she finished Nikki's sentence "Which of course had nothing to do with that fact that you drew and extra card..." Both girls quickly turned to face her, her electric blue eyes staring hard at Kirah (who's stunned look suggested that she assumed her cheating too good to be noticed). She stood and made her way to the two, sitting down next to Nikki "I hope you don't mind if I sit here..." Her head quickly flicked around to face both of them, and without giving them time to reply she continued "Good. My name's Sera, pleased to meet both of you". An overly excited smile emerged on her face

Laughing, Nikki introduced herself and Kirah. "So you're going to the school too then?" She asked.
(OOC: Just a note, never call Nikki short or shorty/etc... She reacts how Edward Elric does in FMA)

"Yeah... My parents said I have to go..." Sera rolled her eyes and spoke with little enthusiasm, but it only lasted momentarily as a smile leapt back to her face.

"My brother's sending me. He's moving out and doesn't trust me, so here I am." Nikki laughed nervously - a hand to the back of her head.

"I'm going by choice. The curriculum's better than my old school's." Kirah muttered feeling rather out of place.

"Oh? Which school did you use to attend?" Sera asked, her overly curious side taking over once again
